Hiking Lake O’Hara | A Photo Blog

Last weekend we had the chance to visit Lake O’Hara in Yoho National Park in British Columbia. It was Ryan’s 3rd visit and Amanda’s 1st. We had such an incredible trip that we wanted to share it with you via photos. Here we go….

We started with an early morning trek from Moraine Lake up to Eiffel Lake and then onwards to Wenkchemna Pass.

Once we reached the pass, we stopped for lunch and to admire the view! It was unreal.

We headed down the backside of the mountain into Eagles Eyrie before making our way over the Opabin Pass over 2 glaciers.

From there, we reached the Lake O’Hara trails and set out to the lodge!

On our first full day at Lake O’Hara, we hiked McArthur Lake, and got some stunning views of the beautiful blue lake.

We also hiked the Lake O’Hara circuit, which took us up onto the ridges of the surrounding mountains, with incredible views of the lake and surrounding mountain ranges.

On top of those hikes, we also took a walk around the lake to see the waterfalls and a swim in the glacier water!

Hiking at Lake O’Hara has definitely been a highlight of our summer and we cannot wait to go back! In the meantime, we will continue to dream of these beautiful views.
