Originally from Oklahoma City, USA, Nathan Aguilera – aka “Foodie Flashpacker” – was inspired to plan a long term trip after meeting backpackers at a hostel during a humanitarian work trip to Kenya. On arriving home, Nathan began to plan his long term adventure and what started out as a plan for 6 months has evolved into him currently being on the road for more than 3.5 years!

On the anniversary of his second year away, Nathan decided to capitalize on his love of food and started his travel blog and developed a following by reviewing restaurants and dishes for every budget around the world, primarily based on local recommendations.

On this episode we talk about all things food with Nathan, including where he draws the line when it comes to his foodie comfort zone, as well as some of the challenges of being on the road and Digital Nomad life.

Enjoy!

What we talk about:

  • What inspired him to start on a 6 month backpacking trip that has now turned into an adventure of over 3.5 years!
